Knock 'Em Down with Love
For months we've been traveling, performing, and encouraging kids to L.O.V.E. well and to take on the bad guys by being "too kind" to them. Recent events in our country have made us realize that this message truly needs to be heard.
The Knock 'Em Down with Love campaign we've started will be visible on Facebook, at YouTube and here at KaPopKit.com. We ask that you join the cause. But not only that, we need your help to spread the word. We've provided a few resources like our silly pictures and the YouTube commercial that you can repost and share with your friends on social sites.
Beyond that, you can live the message by refusing to take part in schoolyard bullying or even cyber-bullying. Make an effort to spread joy and encouragement instead—and set an example for those who are quick to be ugly and sarcastic. And when you join the cause, you're also taking the KEDwL Pledge:
- (Kids) We will not engage in bullying others, under any circumstances.
- (Kids) We will stand with someone - boy or girl, friend or not - if a bully tries to pick on them.
-
(Kids) We will ask for help from someone in authority if a bully will not back down.
-
(Adults) We will keep an eye out for bullying, and intercede or alert the proper authority figure if necessary.
If you like, attach the Knock 'Em Down with Love "brand" to your Facebook or Twitter profile pic by visiting this link and following the directions there. Maybe it will at least spark some conversation with your friends about bullying—and what we all can do to put a stop to it. Right. Now.
