The Ka*Pop Mission
Ka*Pop is excited to be a part of family ministry in churches, schools, outreach missions and other settings. We hold firmly to a core set of beliefs. These beliefs are integral to the way we live our lives and also to the message we present on the concert stage. Please take a minute to read through this mission statement:
MISSION STATEMENT
- We believe that the Holy Bible is the divinely inspired and living Word of God. It is the revelation of God's story to mankind—past, present and future. Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16
- We believe in the Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit. All three are unique and equal aspects of God's perfection, and all have existed eternally. Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Psalm 90:2
- We believe that God created man as part of the grand story He is telling. And He created in us true free will; our choice is either God's way or our own way. Tragically, we have chosen our own way. We believe that because of God's perfect nature, He cannot allow Himself to look upon sin. But without God, our demise is certain. We need redemption and reconciliation with our Creator. Jesus is exactly that provision! Genesis 3:6-7, Habakuk 1:13, Romans 1:18-20
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin girl named Mary. Christ's years spent on Earth were the fulfillment of God's promise to redeem his fallen creation: Mankind. Jesus Christ lived, died and rose again—never once having sinned—and His sacrificial death was the ultimate act of atonement for our sins. Luke 1:31-35, 2 Corinthians 5:11-21, Romans 6:17-18
- We believe that this atonement must be willingly and individually received. There is no other way to be reconciled to God the Father except through His Son. We believe that those who receive this gift also receive the certainty of an eternity spent with our Creator in his heavenly Kingdom. One's rejection of Christ means an eternity spent apart from God. Romans 3:21-26, Mark 16:16
- We believe that in the perfection of God's story are two important players: the Church and the Family. We believe that fathers are blessed with the gift of leading their homes, and that this gift should not be squandered or considered lightly. We believe that God has painted a beautiful picture in the form of Family: caring, nurturing parents who pray for their children and guide them to seek their own part in God's story. We believe that we are image-bearers of God, literally created in His image, and that we are obliged to live our lives accordingly: growing in love for our Father, creating as He creates, loving as He loves, and sharing His truth through word and deed. We are compelled to speak His truth into the lives of children—but not apart from the guidance and God-given influence of their parents. 1 Timothy 6:12-14, Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 6:5-9
