Ka*Pop Shop Talk

Shop Talk is more of an extended meet & greet than a traditional workshop. The guys from Ka*Pop join with the childrenʼs ministry staff and volunteers to engage in discussion, present examples of proven creative endeavors for various ministry age groups, and encourage feedback and an “idea exchange”.

Shop Talk Topics/Objectives

• How to Compete with Mickey Mouse
• Rules of Recruiting
• Four Amazing Sundays

This leads to discussion of other pertinent topics, such as security, registration, general administration challenges, delegating responsibility to small or large program volunteers, how to legitimately pull off drama on Sunday morning, giving kids leadership (and therefore, ownership) and so on. Ka*Pop-approved curriculum and resources are referenced, and a slide presentation keeps the discussion on-point.

Shop Talk is designed to encourage and cheer on the beautiful people who give their time, energy and hearts to childrenʼs ministry—whether they be paid staff or lay volunteers. Ka*Popʼs ultimate goal for Shop Talk is to build a network of idea sharing and prayer support for churches around the country.
